CMD/IFCC-CB Faculty dinner – April 2019
CMD/IFCC-CB Faculty dinner – April 2019

In 2010 UK NEQAS for Cardiac Markers identified a requirement to initiate a dedicated meeting to educate and involve clinical scientists, biomedical scientists, clinicians and the diagnostics industry in the continuously evolving area of cardiac markers and their role in diagnosis and treatment.

Following 3 successful meetings in 2010, 2011 and 2014, a big thank you to everyone who participated in the 4th Cardiac Marker Dialogues meeting which was held on Friday 5 April 2019 at the Hilton Grosvenor Hotel – Glasgow, Scotland.

The meeting had a record number of attendees and within the dialogue marker discussion periods questions discussed included – (1) High sensitivity Troponin – Whole numbers or should we use one decimal place on levels below the 99th percentile? (2) Implementing algorithms? And  (3) What was experience/worry about implementing hs Troponin?
